Well, I just got back from Wisconsin.. what a trip! It was like out of some movie..

It began last Thursday.. I was supposed to leave on a flight at 6:40am.. my friend Mike who was picking me up and giving me a ride had car trouble and we ended up missing the plane! So we got rebooked for the 11am flight on United. Then that flight was delayed until 2:20pm. Finally we end up in Chicago where we have 20 minutes to catch our connecting flight to Wisconsin. That’s when the plane’s ramp gear had a malfunction and ended up keeping us in the plane for another 40 minutes causing us to miss the last flight! So then Mike and I got a hotel and stayed the night in the windy city.

Friday AM

After spending all of thursday at the airport, we were happy to finally fly to Wassau, a small airpot that is two hours away from our destination, The Lake of the Torches Casino. After the drive, we end up arriving Friday at 1pm.

We spend some time rehearsing at the theater and then we grabbed dinner. Buffet, all you can eat!

I haven’t been on tour with both Mike E. and Rich at the same time and I knew this night would be interesting! The guys definitely know how to have a good time on the road and I had planned to let loose on this trip for months.

So after quite a few round of drinks, we head into town to some small bar in the middle of nowhere. We dance it up and have fun, all the while downing tequila shows and chugging miller lites. One of the guys, we call him “J-Boogie”, went nuts on the dance floor and showed these people crazy impersonations of James Brown and Michael Jackson. Oh the power of tequila!

God this is a long story.. i’ll have to finish writing the crazy ending later..

Anyways, Saturday night was awesome. Two shows. About 700 girls each. Show went well. I did two solo performances.. one an officer and a gentleman routine. The other one was the Matrix. Both numbers I choreographed and produced myself. They looked great and the crowd loved it!

The rest of the night was wild for the guys but I kept to myself in my room.. I had tweaked my back doing a high jump on the stage during practice and I did it three times in the cold theater without warming up. Stupid I know! So I downed some advil and went on with the show. By the end of the night, I was too tired from the meds to do anything but crash in bed. Aww how I love sleep!!

Not much of a crazy story but most of my road trips are pretty chill.. I’ve already lived the rock star life and I’ve been there and done that enough to know how it goes. It isn’t a mystery or a temptation anymore, just a part of the job. I’m so focused on what I want these days that I want to make every day count.

alright, THE END .. i really need to go to bed!

    Hey Steve,

u should put yourself in the next plane to germany to do the rest of the european tour. That would give me a chance to see you in Mannheim on Saturday the 29th.

    Peace
    Judith

P.S. Greets to Dave Abrams, I will miss him on the show this year.
