Things I Believe In…
1. RESPECT. Don’t talk bad about people, especially your friends. The bad will come out on its own. Don’t be a gossip. That’s for the weak minded with low self esteem.
2. Be awesome on the inside. One thing about Vegas is that I’m so annoyed with are the people who are easily impressed by superficial things. Like the guys who drive fancy cars or wear expensive clothes or a bling bling watch who think that acting like king of the club is the way to go. They’re just trying to make up for what they lack on the inside. But I don’t know what’s more sad. These guys or the chicks that fall for that crap. This city just makes you think that money is all that matters. I’ve never had an abundance of money, I’ve had to work hard for everything that I got. But I never met a girl cuz of the chain I wore or the crew that I hung around with. Girls like me for who I am. Mostly because I truly love myself and not in a narcissistic way. I’m confident, not cocky. I know my worth. And I won’t settle for less. Ever again.
3. Be aware of the warning signs. If you sense drama early on, don’t think it’ll just go away in the future. People are who they are and rarely change. If I sense drama or B.S., I walk away. There’s plenty of fish in the sea. I don’t go for just any girl who bites on my hook. (that sounded dirty I know!)
4. Thou shall not covet thy neighbors wife. In other words, your friend’s girl is off limits! I don’t care even if they broke up, you shouldn’t ever mess with your boy’s ex. Aren’t there enough girls out there anyways? You’re a pathetic loser scumbag if you try to hook up with a friend’s girl behind his back. I believe in Karma and she is one cold-hearted bitch!
5. You are a product of the people you surround yourself with. If you want to be a success, wake up and spend the day with people who truly are a success (in life, not just money). If you want to get wasted all the time and barely get by, then be around people who do that. If you care about others and want to make a difference, join the peace corp or some local outreach group and spread the love. You will always turn out like the people you hang around with. This is a FACT.
6. Love others and have a higher purpose in life. If the only reason you wake up is to satisfy yourself and ignore the rest of the world, then you might as well stay in bed because the world doesn’t need another A-hole floating around. Sorry if I sound bitter but I’m over people that use others for selfish means. I wish these people would wake up and realize there is more to life than this little city called las vegas. It’s fun here but it’s nothing compared to the rest of the world. I’ve been lucky to have travelled all over Europe and Asia and I got to experience their cultures. And I miss being around people who are all about family and happiness and not just about partying and trying to impress others.
7. Sleep is great.
8. You are what you eat.
9. Dream big. If not, how else will you achieve greatness?
okay, so enough blah blah blah.. i’m not trying to condemn anyone or act like i’m above it all.. if you like to party and get crazy, go for it! we can still be cool.. I’m just not getting caught up in that scene anymore.. i got big goals and want people in my life that can help me reach them.. anyways…. just food for thought for those bored enough to read my blogs. good night
Hey Steve,
Thanks again for yet another great entry!
And I am not bored, just waiting to go Vote! LOL!
1 most definitely – but also respect yourself – low self esteemers tend not to do that. hence low self esteem.
I agree 2 – I won’t settle for less ever again, I know my worth now – I just have to get out there and DO, BE.
And trust me when I say warning signs. This past year I think I’ve seen and been in enough drama to last a lifetime. I am in a area of my life where I need some fun, determination and career changes for the better.
4 – holy Crap does that ring true!
5 – Finding new great friends and showing love – actually showing the love in friendship and family to be loyal and help others – has actually been known at some points to be a flaw of mine, but I still do it because well, I love to love – this has always kept me going.
(I am one of those happy people who likes to help – go figure)
6 there has always been an inner calling, a higher purpose for me I just do not know how to go about finding it. I have an idea, but not sure. I am going with the flow, learning and loving life, I just hope I make the right decisions to get me there that much faster.
7 – you know it!
8 Dreaming big – definitely – I just have get my ass out and take some risks. And get out of my desk job and into – well you know.
Again, thank you Steve for being my inspiration – The big guy definitely was helping me out when he let me meet you! You are truly an incredible guy! You deserve the best!
And if you have any advice for a woman trying to jump start her business who has not enough money to quit her full time job – kindly let me get some pointers… I think the finance thing is what is holding me back. The warning signs in my brain go off everytime. UGH…
Enough of my babble – I have to go VOTE!

Everything you have written for food for thought is so true. I totally believe in Karma and I also believe that you need to treat people the same way you would like to be treated. Having fancy cars or living that high life are not as important as having trustworthy friends and family. There are many more things to life than just trying to be a baller.
Take care Steve and I hope all your dreams and goals come true!

Hey Steve,
“But I don’t know what’s more sad. These guys or the chicks that fall for that crap.”
I never been to vegas, but I am pretty sure….this is the same thing all over the world….but it is not really sad, it is that these guys and these chicks deserve each other.

Hey Steve,
Love your philosophies in life!
I believe in the same philosophies. Personal development and personal growth is extremely important to me. What you hear, what you read, what you see, and who you associate with have to all be geared towards your dreams and positive energy.
